Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours, golden.
Description: Hexagonal tea caddy with gilt shoulder and gilt beaded edges. Original lid with
gold-etched ornamental decoration on a purple lustre. The sides of the box depict large
Chinese figures in everyday scenes.
Measurement: Height 13cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze. Gold painter's number 4 twice.
Provenance:
Saxon private collection, acquired in 2015 at the Cologne auction house Lempertz.
