LARGE PORCELAIN FIGURE "BACCHUSGRUPPE".

Date: Before 1924.
Maker/Designer: Model E. A. Leuteritz.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours.
Description: Bacchus, the god of wine, with a crown of vines and a leopard skin around his hips,
sitting on a wine barrel on a rising rock base in the centre. A grapevine grows up behind
him. At his feet a putto and a small satyr. To his right, a servant with a wine jug
modelled on the jugs made by the Meissen manufactory.
Measurement: Height 31,7cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze. Model number C35x, potter number 93.
