Private ownership, Norway.
The church shown here is probably the Vladimir Cathedral in Sevastopol, which gained a certain importance as the burial place of Russian admirals. Matveev, who actually worked in Moscow, travelled to the Crimea in the 1880s and captured some well-known places there in his paintings.
