BRASS TABERNACLE CLOCK WITH FRONT ZAPPLER.

Date: 2nd half 16th C.
Technique: Brass, fire gilded, iron among others.
Description: High rectangular case with two lateral hinged doors that feature rich ornamental engraved
decor both on the outside and the inside. In the top corners each a small
roundabout-formed finial and in the centre the bell below a pierced dome. Obversely
chapter ring dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, inside alarm disc, one hand.
Movement with iron and brass wheels, weight-driven clock mechanism, the alarm movement
removed and coverted to front pendulum.
Measurement: 18,5x7,5x7cm.
Mark: Verso twice with stamp JG above a four-sectioned crest with circular rings.
